  *  Important Tip;  You can purchase a small Ball-Peen Hammer @ a yardsale,

Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving What If (For Me)
Recently I read a very interesting paragraph about how, & where to strip off old chairs, & it will NEVER
be in my shop again due to inhaling dust, mildew, etc. from an old chair(s) because of where, & how they may
  have been stored!
It will be done outside of my shop with maximum ventilation, & before I bring the chair caning, or seat
weaving restoration into my shop to restore!

Coming from an attic, an old barn, a basement, or an out building may cause health problems which I did
not bargain for when I took in this or that chair caning or seat weaving restoration to do!
IMPORTANT NOTE:  Dust Mask, & Gloves will be used ALWAYS during the strip off of old chairs etc.!

test162.jpg

       * If you have discovered, & are daily using the Chair Caning Lock Step Method TM that's absolutely fantastic!
I will be teaching the Chair Caning Lock Step Method TM without the references/substitions so that it will
(hopefully) not be so confusing to my Online Class as I did with MY STUDENT ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES!!!

They got it, & use it every single day!

                                                    * Signing Your Seatweaving! Smile
"When I took off the old seats, I found that a little girl had signed her name before the Rush was put on", he said.
"I asked the man if her name had any significance, & it turns out it was an old maid great-aunt of his." Smile (smile)

"Since then, I've started putting my name, & the date inside of my work!  Maybe 100 years from now, when some-
body takes my seat off, they"ll feel a connection with me, too." Smile

* WHY YOU TUBE VIDEO on
   * On Twos day April 3, 2012 @ 10:36 PM EST.!
       * The reason for my Video is so every Seat Weaver on the
planet will avoid the headaches' / problems' I had "Squaring Up",
, & "Weaving" "Rush" Bottom Chairs'.
       * When I began "Weaving" Chairs' I hated to have Clients'
bring "Rush" Bottom Chairs' to my shop to do because I knew they
would be a bear to do because I could "Never" get them "Squared
up" on the first attempt, & then "Weave" them to complection!
Fast forward a couple of years from 1975 after I met a crafts-
man who knew the "Trade Secret" to "Squaring up" "Rush" Bottom
Chairs', & then I welcomed Clients' bringing "Rush" Bottom Chairs'
to my shop to do because I could "Easily" "Square" them up, &
easily complete them without doing them a Second Time!
In the video you will see that I am using a "Red" "Rush Ruler"
tm which gives you the exact measurement of the back "Stile"
which gives you the "Exact" measurement of the front "Stile" when
you finish weaving the "Fillers" to "Square up" the "Rush" Bottom
Chair for weaving!  You merely place it on the front "Stile" to check
for accurate "Squareness"!  "Accuracy is 110%"!
       * "Cheers" with a "Health" drink!  Make that a double "Please"!
       * "Blessings'", "Thanks'" for stopping by, and reading our
"Chair Caning, & Seat Weaving Reflections'" tm!
